
The East Park public conveniences, near Brigg’s Monument war memorial, have been closed since December after suffering burst pipes during the exceptionally cold weather.
But after hearing how ‘caught short’ members of the public were now having to ask to use the facilities in nearby offices, Brigg Town Council thinks it’s high time the WCs were back in business.
They are owned and operated by North Lincolnshire Council, and Coun Penny Smith told fellow Brigg councillors that the unitary authority ought to make reopening the toilets a priority, given the length of time they had already been closed.
