Drivers should watch out for a skip on St Helen's Road, Brigg, close to the junction with Yarborough Road. It's near to the junction so watch out for approaching vehicles on the wrong side of the road.
On the same subject, North Lincolnshire Council again needs to take action about the foliage on a tree close to the junction between St Helen's Road and Bigby Road. It means drivers exiting St Helen's Road, and looking left, cannot see approaching traffic because the greenery is blocking their view.
We flagged this problem up last year and someone attended to it by cutting back the foliage near the base of the tree. Now it badly needs a repeat.
One needs a NLC licence to site a skip on a public thoroughfare.
ReplyDelete...and if approved, the skip has to be illuminated during the hours of darkness.
Otherwise, you'll get done and be in a lot of hot water!!!
Just for info......following Andy Coleman's post re litter outside his restaurant in Queens....I noticed a NLC's 'Litter Enforcement' van outside the premises this pm. Probably coincidence, otherwise Brigg Blog has some amazing affewct on NLC.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time there was a street cleaning operative on the other side of the road. Inside his bin trolley were loads of stair carpet rods - haven't seen those for ages. The rods were sound and being made of (a very)hardword would be worth quite a fortune.
Someone had left them outside some premises and the rods' destiny was some dumping site somewhere....what a waste!!!
