Planning permission to vary a planning condition relating to the layout of a car park and boundary wall at the proposed Tennyson Close redevelopment, off Albert Street, Brigg, is being sought by Longhurst Group Ltd from North Lincolnshire Council.
The original plans didn't seem to have sufficient car parking spaces for the number of residents....although, oddly enough, it incorporate a secured building for 20-odd bikes!!
I recall Cllr Nige the Bike making objective comments at the approval stage, vis-a-vis opaque windows, which included a gable wall and the height of a boundary wall.
As a representative of QUAG, (Queen Street Action Group - re residents parking), the group were concerned several months ago that the development would create over-spill parking in Albert St...particularly in the area of the acute angled junction with Bigby Road............at a time when NLC would be introducting Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE) in Brigg and elsewhere..possibly resulting in motorists being displaced to the already busy Albert St.
