Applications are invited from eligible residents who live within 3 miles of Brigg to fill three Casual Vacancies on Brigg Town Council.
The applications will be filled by co-option on Monday 25th January; and those persons who are interested in being considered for co-option are now invited to submit a brief ‘pen picture’ of themselves to the council, also outlining why they would like to be considered.

ReplyDeleteAccording to regulations, notices for elections and/or for filling casual vacancies should be displayed in conspicuous places around the district
ReplyDeletePlease correct me if I'm wrong, but the only notice board that I've seen such notices displayed is the small Brigg TC board at the rear of the Angel.
If this is true, it's not really bringing such information to the attention of the public.
In Wrawby, which is well within the 3 mile limit, the village notice board contains info related to NLC meetings in Jan, police info, MP's details, Parish Council members, a local walk........but no mention of Brigg TC.
And..of course, I've seen such info mentioned on Brigg Blog....is it another example of...
