BRIGG GIVEN A FOOTHOLD

Recently established on the Facebook social network is a volume called Let's See If We Can Get 5000 People Who Live in North Lincolnshire. A friend who works for North Lincolnshire Council alerted me to its existence and I've today joined 144 others from across the district who are "fans". Most seem (from their thumbnail pictures) to be under 30 but there are one or two of us of more senior years. I don't expect to be the first Brigg person to sign up, but maybe this entry will inspire a few more from our town to become fans. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to reach the 5000 target. Spread the word if you are a fan of Facebook. Personally I can take it or leave it, but I visit maybe once or twice a week - just to check if any interesting messages have arrived from afar.
