BRIGG NOW A TOURIST DESTINATION IF YOU LIVE IN YORK!

Many people from Brigg have made sight-seeing and shopping trips to York - one of Britain's most-visited historic cities with a host of attractions.
So we were very interested to hear that a woman from York used the Saturdays-only direct train service from the country's biggest county to visit Brigg at the weekend.
We are told that she really enjoyed her "two-hour experience of the town."
Saturday, July 6 also saw a male passenger using the Brigg line on his way to far-off Torquay, in Devon.
Last Saturday saw 56 people using Brigg railway station, some of whom will have been sampling the seaside closer to home at Cleethorpes.
We are sure that the information about the lady coming here from York will be of interest to Brigg Tourist Information Centre at the Buttercross. Hopefully, more people from York will follow in her footsteps.
Our thanks go to rail line supporters Phill Hewson and Paul Johnson for keeping us in the loop (pardon the pun!).
