FLUSHED WITH SUCCESS: BRIGG WOMEN ENJOY FEDERATION DAY

The Women's Institute Lincolnshire & Humberside Federation office in Brigg town centre

The Women's Institute Lincs and Humber Federation, which has an office on Queen Street in Brigg (pictured above), staged one of its main annual events at the weekend, with members from our area among those attending.
Press officer Jacky Johnson told Brigg Blog: "On Saturday 6th, North Lincs and Humber had their Annual Federation Day, held at the UTC in Scunthorpe. This was a great success.  "Good food, demos and speaker, and an excellent talk from Anglian Water, mostly covering waste and what is flushable and what goes in the waste bin.
"Don't believe all you read on packages, folks. If in doubt, bin it - especially wipes. Keep your pipes flowing!"
Jacky gave a big vote of thanks to "the grafters who put the show together" and all the lovely ladies who attended. Good food was cooked for visitors, with special thanks going to the catering team.
The UTC (University Technical College) is based in a large, modern building in Scunthorpe town centre, close to the bus station.
