SHORTEST STREET IN BRIGG PUT FORWARD FOR ARCHES PROJECT

The shortest street in Brigg could receive a distinctive archway.
The Arches Project will provide structures  to guide shoppers and visitors about the town.
Among latest suggestions for the shortlist is the Little Butchery,  pictured below, close to Scalinis chip shop and restaurant, together with another arch near the Angel.
These late additions are now being considered.
Giving an update on the Arches at Brigg Town Council's latest meeting, Coun Rob Waltham revealed that a few tickets were still available for a forthcoming fundraising dinner in aid of the project.
The function on Saturday, July 7 will include entertainment from the  Nukeleles Ukulele Band.  Tickets cost £15. For more information email  kitchingjane@gmail.com
Adopted by Brigg Town Council and supported by Brigg Town Business Partnership, the project is well on its way to becoming a reality.
Each arch will feature the name of the courtyard in question and sport an appropriate logo.

How Cressey Yard, Brigg, would look with its arch in place.
