NEW YOUNG GOOD CITIZEN OF BRIGG AWARD TO BE CONSIDERED


Brigg Town Council is considering the introduction of a new civic award.
If approved, this will be known as the Young Persons' Good Citizen Award.
The proposal is to be discussed during the monthly meeting of Brigg Town Council to be held tomorrow  (Monday, April 23) in the Angel Suite (from 7.15pm).
This meeting is open to interested members of the public.
The Town Council already has the Joseph J Magrath OBE Award for public voluntary service and an award for the owner(s) of notable building refurbishments.

BUSINESS TO BE TRANSACTED
1. Notice convening the meeting.
2. TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES AND TO APPROVE REASONS FOR ABSENCE.
3. a) To Consider the suspension of the Meeting for the Purpose of Prayer.
b) To Resolve that Standing Orders be reinstated
4.    a)  To Record any Declarations of Interest by any member of the council in respect of the agenda items listed below.  Members declaring interests should identify the Agenda Item and the type of interest being declared.
    b)  To note any dispensations given to any member of the council in respect of the Agenda Items listed below.
5.    Police Matters   
6.     To receive any correspondence (for information only).
7.    To receive the update on any outstanding issues from the clerk.

13.    ANNUAL AUDIT – YEAR ENDING 31 MARCH 2018
a) To re-affirm the independence of Mr R Dixon as Internal Auditor, and that he has no interest, financial or otherwise, with any member or officer of the council.
b) To receive the internal auditor’s report and authorise payment of his invoice following completion of the internal audit for the Fiscal Year 2017/18.
c) To complete both the Statements of Assurance and Assertions required from Members.
d) To receive and approve the Receipts and Payments Summary and Accounts for the Fiscal Year ended 31 March 2018.
e) To approve the Audit Return for the Fiscal Year 2017/2018
f)  To note the receipt of the Internal Auditor’s completion statement for the Fiscal Year ending 31 March 2018.
g)    To approve the Council’s Asset Register.

As the Devil's Advocate and as much as I admire the air cadets, no other youth organisation appears to apply for a grant...from Rainbows to the Army cadets...are these groups aware of the possibility of a grant from BTC?
