CHARITY SEEKS BRIGG DONATION TO HELP WITH ITS COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORK

Age UK Lindsey, which established a charity shop in Brigg last year, has approached the Town Council for a donation.
The charity does much good work for older people, giving them advice and support.
When Age UK's request was considered at the latest Town Council meeting in the Angel Suite, Coun Donald Campbell, Deputy Town Mayor, pictured below, thought a small donation was in order.

However, Coun  Rob Waltham successfully suggested the best course of action was to direct the charity to apply to North Lincolnshire Council's community grants fund.
The meeting heard that Age UK was approaching other parish and town councils in Lincolnshire for assistance.
Its shop on Wrawby Street - opposite the Black Bull pub - was officially opened in October 2017 by Coun Peter Clark, the Mayor of North Lincolnshire, who is a former Brigg resident.
Brigg Blog was among those invited along and you can read our report of the launch here...
