NEW JOBS ON THE WAY AS STORE GETS GO AHEAD IN THE BRIGG AREA
North Lincolnshire Council planners have given a well-known retailer the go ahead to build a new store in the Brigg area, creating around 15 jobs.
The scheme involves a single-storey neighbourhood foodstore, the creation of a new vehicular and pedestrian access, car parking, external plant equipment, landscaping and associated works.
Lincolnshire Co-operative Ltd can now develop the convenience store on land adjacent to 47 West Street, Scawby, opening seven days a week.
Its application was approved by North Lincolnshire Council's planning committee when it met at Scunthorpe Civic Centre.
Development must begin within three years, the council has stipulated.
Deliveries to, and collections from, the store will only be allowed between 7am and 7pm (Monday to Saturdays) and 10am to 4pm (Sundays and bank holidays).
