BRIGG REC TO SEE THE GREAT BRIGGISH BAKE OFF

Brigg Hockey Club will be holding an open day on Sunday, May 7 at the Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road, where the new "Blue Astro" floodlit pitch has been provided by North Lincolnshire Council.
From 10am to 11am there will be a taster session for those interested in trying the sport.
Then, from 11am to 1pm, there will be an under-12 and under-14 mixed tournament - seven-a-side.
A BBQ will be held in the afternoon, plus beat the keeper and The Great Briggish Bake Off.
The fun is expected to end about 3pm.
Pop down and take a look!
Brigg Hockey Club - dating back to 1920 - has junior, men's and ladies' teams.
There's an opportunity for newcomers to the sport to hone their skills and progress into league hockey at weekends between September and April.
It's a fast and skilful sport - in the right hands. Never ours, despite playing in the lower teams for many seasons!

Blue Haze..When it's summer with a bright blue sky will folks get confused about where the hockey pitch starts and the heavens begin?
Would, in such weather conditions, big downward pointing arrows help to orientate the players to wehere the ground is?
But the gravity of the ball should help to identify ground from sky....perhaps arrows on the ball could be helpful!
