BRIGG ROAD CLOSURE COMING UP SOON

Police issued an alert via Twitter at 9.20am today, Saturday, suggesting the level crossing gates on the A1084 in Brigg are stuck in the closed position and that engineers were on their way.
Brigg Blog went down at 10am and found the crossing OPEN to cars.
No problems were evident for drivers. And as no passenger trains are expected along the Brigg line today due to industrial action, even if the gates are stuck against trains, passengers will not be delayed.
So that's good news for drivers using this busy route.
However, there is a sign by the crossing saying it WILL be closed to vehicles on April 12 from 6am to 2pm.
Networks Rail has apologised in advance. Diversions will be in place via Wrawby.

.....one old trick for sticking drawers was to rub candle wax on the running bits....do you think that I should nip down with me box of fragrant night lights, Nige....?
While we're on the subject of crafty tricks....try a high concentrate of vinegar in a bowl of water to clean the inside of a microwave.
Let is boil for some time, so there's lots of vinegary vapour.....subsequently, crusted on debris just wipes off....dead simps....and it doesn't affect the flavour of food....
