BRIGG FOLK SPOILT FOR CHOICE

It has been confirmed that the Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Councillor Trevor Foster (pictured above), will be attending Brigg Town Council's Civic Charity Dinner in the Angel Suite on Saturday, March 18 at 7.30pm.
Brigg Town Mayor Coun Ann Eardley will be presiding at the dinner, when the winners of the Joseph J Magrath Award for public voluntary service and the town's best building trophy will be presented.
On the same evening, the Briggensians' Association will be holding its annual dinner at Elsham Golf Club.
The council function and the association's get-together for old school friends always seem to take place on the same night. And both were established many years ago.
That's not a criticism, but it means that some people who might have attended both are unable to do so.
We note that the Briggensians - representing former pupils and staff of Sir John Nelthorpe School, Brigg Grammar and Brigg Girls' High - have already announced a proposed date for next year's dinner!
