AREAS OF HISTORIC BRIGG PUB YOU WON'T HAVE SEEN BEFORE

Here are some pictures featuring areas of a Brigg pub you won't have seen before.
New mine host Mike Williams kindly gave us a guided tour of some of the upstairs rooms at the Woolpack, in the Market Place.
This imposing three-storey building in the Conservation Area has great potential in terms of providing accommodation.
The bar is on the ground floor, but there are a surprising number of rooms above.
Judging from Brigg Blog's visit on Saturday night, The Woolie is popular with people of "our age."
Mike and his 'better half' are clearly putting in plenty of work behind the scenes,  in the bar and when it comes to the fabric of the building.
Mike also now controls the Wheatsheaf at Hibaldstow, where we gather the meals are proving popular. Worth considering if you are looking to eat out.
We remember enjoying fine Sunday lunches at this village venue but have to admit we haven't eaten there for a number of years.

Mine hosts behind the bar at the Woolpack.  The other pictures above show some of the upstairs rooms at his historic town centre hostelry.
It was too dark to get a meaningful picture of the Woolpack by the time we called in on Saturday night, so here's one from our files, taken some time ago, just to demonstrate the size of the building.
