The force said yesterday, Wednesday: "A kind-hearted couple handed in the cash to Brigg police station after spotting it in the machine. And, after appealing for the owner to come forward earlier today, we have now reunited them with their money. Thanks for all your help."
The amount involved is thought to have been £60.
